We are seeking entry‑level, full‑time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide.
The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. A Pawnbroker/Retail Sales Associate greets, engages, and interacts with customers in a positive professional manner to process sales, loans, and other transactions.
The Full‑Time Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate position offers an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity. Pay varies by location, qualifications, and experience.
Responsibilities- Greets customers and develops rapport.
- Performs open/close procedures.
- Maintains sales floor cleanliness and merchandise display.
- Processes sales and loan transactions per policies and regulations.
- Handles cash and negotiable items.
- Answers incoming calls according to company standards.
- Communicates legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions.
- Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers.
- Partners with employees to create memorable customer experiences.
- Completes assigned training.
- Other related duties as assigned.
- Willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
- Willing and able to perform tasks for extended periods; standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
- Ability to work with firearms and obtain firearm certification.
- May be asked to assist customers outside building and retrieve products from storage.
- Minimum 18 years old; high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Strong desire to work, serve customers, be team‑oriented.
- Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
- Basic math calculation proficiency.
- Cash handling experience preferred.
- Ability to work multiple locations as business needs dictate.
- Flexible retail schedule; weekends and holidays.
- Computer literate; operate POS and office machines.
Commission incentive plan proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers can earn 2–8% commission based on gross profit of personal performance. Details provided during interview.
Payrates will not be below any applicable local minimum wage requirements.
