Retail Store Management Trainee - 3281
Salary: $18.00 to $24.00 per hour (plus commission and bonus).
We are looking for a retail store manager trainee to help manage day‑to‑day operations, partner with the Store Manager, and guide a team of employees in a customer‑centric environment.

- Work hours:
most stores open at 9 AM and close at 6 PM; many are closed on Sundays. - Earned Wage Access program available from day 2 of employment; up to 50% of earned wages may be withdrawn up to seven times per payroll cycle.
- Unlimited commission above hourly base rate.
- Paid vacation: one week after six months of active service, plus one week after 12 months, and two weeks each subsequent anniversary (adjusted for state/local requirements).

As a Store Manager Trainee, you will oversee daily store operations, cultivate a customer‑centric culture, and support the Store Manager in leading, training, and retaining staff. Your role will also involve financial analysis, asset protection, and driving profitability.
Responsibilities- Facilitate a customer‑centric environment, engaging customers and addressing issues promptly.
- Assist in training Pawnbrokers to meet First Cash standards.
- Recruit top talent using company‑prescribed channels.
- Open and close the store, including cash drawer and merchandise count, ensuring all procedures protect assets.
- Maintain asset protection through inventory control, property safety procedures, documentation, and secure customer loans.
- Administer store processes such as inventory, loan management, merchandising, presentation, systems, and reporting.
- Analyze financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal setting.
- Ensure operating standards meet or exceed First Cash expectations.
- Monitor loan qualification and buying processes to preserve loan value and integrity.
- Complete assigned training and development tasks.
- Communicate clearly with employees to align them with store mission and profit objectives.
- Stay up‑to‑date on product knowledge.
- Act as manager on duty in the Store Manager’s absence.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
- Willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
- Willing and able to perform tasks for extended periods (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, etc.).
- Demonstrated supervisory experience.
- Ability to work with firearms and pursue firearms certification.
- Enabled to assist external customers and retrieve products from storage areas.
- Minimum age 18 years.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- Flexibility to work at multiple locations and a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Ready to work 45+ hours per week (no guarantee of hours).
- Computer literate with POS and office systems.
- Strong multitasking, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Prior cash handling experience required.
- Independent, self‑motivated work style.
- Excellent work ethic and strong business sense.
Commission incentive is proprietary to First Cash. Store Manager Trainees may earn 2‑8% commission based on gross profit from personal performance. Detailed plan information will be provided during the interview process.
