Position Summary
Do you have a knack for helping people, following recipes and staying organized? Our Bakery/Packager associates prepare fresh baked items daily for our members, following recipes and wrapping, labeling, and storing merchandise to ensure our members have the freshest items available to take home to their families. You will juggle several tasks in a short amount of time while helping members with their bakery orders.
It’s hard work, but the bakery team finds it rewarding, especially as part of a large team with a common goal: happy, satisfied members.
- Be a Team Member:
Collaborate with other associates to build a strong bakery team; communicate with the members of the team; and be flexible to the needs of the business to work in other areas. - Be an Expert:
Prepare bakery department merchandise based on daily production needs by operating baking equipment; follow recipes/make‑up instructions; wrap, label, and store merchandise according to company policies and procedures; ensure compliance with food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, cold chain compliance, and inventory management; operate, maintain, and sanitize equipment; and demonstrate understanding of product and layout execution. - Be a Techie:
Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement; use handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, merchandise ordering, training, and product quality with the member in mind; adapt to new tools and encourage others to use them. - Be an Owner:
Ensure commitment to operational excellence, maintaining work area according to company policies and procedures; maintain quality and date control standards for bakery items; secure fragile and high‑shrink merchandise; eliminate waste; assist members with purchasing decisions; and ensure merchandise is properly packaged, labeled, and stored in accordance with company policies and procedures. - Be a Talent Ambassador:
Advocate for the department and the club by valuing the member's experience and modeling high quality service and products; execute the basics at the highest possible level of quality; and exhibit energy, commitment, and passion for the work. - Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans; use the Open Door Policy; and apply these in executing business processes and practices.
- Complete work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources; collaborate with managers, co‑workers, customers, and other business partners; identify priorities, deadlines, and expectations; communicate progress and information; recommend ways to address improvement opportunities; and adapt to and learn from change, difficulties, and feedback.

Must be 18 years of age or older. Complete all required job trainings and assessments within the specified time period.

The hourly wage range for this position is $17.00 to $25.00. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances.
