Title: Store Manager
Reports to: District Manager
Reporting to this position: Assistant Store Manager, Jewelry Consultant, Sales Support and Inventory Control
Position SummaryThe Store Manager (SM) leads day‑to‑day store operations to achieve sales, profitability, customer satisfaction, inventory control, brand representation and team member growth and development. Through personal selling, leadership, and coaching, the SM champions a People First store environment that promotes diversity, inclusion, and lasting customer relationships.

Customer ObsessionEnsures team members deliver an exceptional customer experience through training, outreach, and timely resolution of customer issues.

Employee ExperienceBuilds a talent pipeline, provides onboarding, coaching and development, sets performance expectations, and maintains accurate team data for rewards.

- Performs additional duties and projects as assigned.
- Consistent regular scheduled attendance is considered an essential function of this job.
- During non‑peak periods, managers should aim for a five‑day, 40‑hour work week.
- Schedule based on the right time to effectively run the business.
- Combination of opening and closing shifts includes operating hours, sales requirements, customer traffic, proper store coverage, and time to coach and develop the team.
- Hours will increase during peak selling periods.
- Education Required:
Minimum of 2 years of college preferred. - Experience:
At least 3 years of retail sales, or 2 years sales plus 1 year retail management. - Preference given to candidates with specialty retail or jewelry experience.
- Preference given to candidates who are Diamond Council of America (DCA) certified.
- Advanced communication skills, written and verbal.
- Proficient with computers, MS Office, and related business tools.
- Strong interpersonal, presentation, problem‑solving, and conflict‑management skills.
- Ability to present professionally via email, social media, video conference, telephone, and text.
- Ability to plan, organize and prioritize tasks.
- Ability to work independently without immediate supervision.
- Reliable and dependable.
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
Regular communication with customers, standing, reaching, moving between display cases, sitting, stooping, bending, kneeling or crouching, lifting up to 10 pounds, and visual acuity to discern quality in gemstones.
Standard work week regularly includes weekends, evenings, holidays, and extended hours. Travel to training sessions and business meetings, including air travel and overnight travel, may be required.
