Role Description The Assistant Manager is a full-time, on-site position based at the Jared Jewelers store in Montgomery, AL. This role supports the Store Manager in daily operations, including supervising sales associates, driving sales performance, and ensuring exceptional customer service. Responsibilities include coaching and developing team members, assisting with scheduling and floor coverage, and overseeing visual merchandising and store presentation standards.

The Assistant Manager also helps manage inventory processes, supports loss prevention efforts, and ensures adherence to company policies and procedures. This role collaborates closely with leadership to meet store goals and contributes to a welcoming, inclusive, and customer-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Retail sales and customer service skills, with experience in meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Team leadership, coaching, and performance management skills, ideally in a retail or service environment.
• Store operations skills, including inventory handling, cash management, and compliance with policies and procedures.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills to engage customers and support team members.
• Basic proficiency with point-of-sale systems and comfort working with technology and internal reporting tools.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed in a retail environment.
• Prior jewelry, luxury retail, or fashion retail experience is beneficial but not required; a passion for jewelry and customer experience is highly valued.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in business, retail management, or a related field is a plus.
