That’s why we’re actively seeking a talented Field Wholesaler to join Pacific Life's Consumer Markets Division to cover the North Central region. The Consumer Markets Division leverages its strengths in product development, technology, service, and risk management to offer financial products for individuals, families, and businesses. With the guidance of financial professionals, Pacific Life customers have access to an array of annuities, mutual funds, and life insurance designed to help grow and protect assets for financial independence.
- Ideal Candidate must live in Chicago, Milwaukee, Minneapolis or be willing to relocate.
As a Field Wholesaler, you will manage and develop new financial professional relationships in your assigned territory. The territory for this position includes the states of:
Illinois, Michigan, Indiana, Iowa, Nebraska, Minnesota, South Dakota, North Dakota. In addition, the Field Wholesaler must execute marketing campaigns, attend company, industry, and intermediary meetings, speak in front of groups, work with internal sales, case design, and underwriting partners, and collaborate with peers on sales ideas. Extensive travel is required as is a broad industry knowledge of best practices, products, underwriting and marketing of life insurance products.
Each Field Wholesaler will develop and execute on a business plan for their territory.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in life insurance industry with at least 1 year in internal or external wholesaling.
- Requires Series 6, 63 (as required by state(s) in the territory), and life/health insurance licenses in all states within the assigned territory.
- Highly organized and goal oriented.
- Excellent persistency and follow up determination.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Effective public speaker with ability to provide education beyond product knowledge.
- Possess history of successful sales results.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Must be willing to travel extensively.
- Professional designations (CLU, ChFC, CFP) desirable.
- Financial Services/Brokerage Industry experience desirable.
The base pay for the role is $65,000. In addition, this role is eligible for incentive compensation based on performance. Total compensation in year one and year two will be a minimum of $145k - $155k.
Base Pay RangeThe base pay range noted represents the company’s good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.
