How This Role Works
- Fixed‑Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”):
You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment. - Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program:
In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites.
This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
Responsibilities- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out site‑specific procedures, access‑related protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Monitor communication systems, receive calls for service, and dispatch security‑related personnel to routine issues, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner.
- Maintain detailed dispatch logs, incident information, and activity records to support accurate reporting and follow‑up for the location.
- Coordinate with site personnel, property management, and/or emergency responders to relay information, prioritize calls, and support timely responses across the property.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, as assigned, while monitoring for unusual activity and reporting concerns according to post procedures.
- A minimum of 2 years of security‑related experience is required.
- Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
