Temporary Unarmed Security Officer (7a-6p) SORA Required - Montgomery Twp, NJ
Location:
Montgomery Township, NJ
Shift: Friday, Saturday, Sunday (7 a.m.
-6 p.m.)
Compensation: $26.00 per hour

Job Summary:
Physical Security Officers (PSOs) work in demanding, fast‑paced environments including medical centers, government facilities, hospitality venues, and public events. They may be required to work with firearms. The PSO’s mission is to protect all people, information and property while delivering high‑end customer service.
- Deliver high‑end customer service
- Respond to emergencies
- Deterr and prevent crime
- Perform ingress/egress control procedures
- Investigate incidents
- Complete daily logs and incident reports
- Conduct regular walking or vehicle patrols
- Build and maintain a professional rapport with clients, guests and co‑workers
- De‑escalate conflicts
- Detain suspects
- Monitor CCTV cameras
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Current and valid driver’s license
- High school diploma or GED
- Must pass drug screen
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Reliable transportation
- Extensive use of force knowledge
- Must pass a comprehensive background investigation, urinalysis screening, and OPS training requirements
- Security experience
- Prior/current military and/or prior law enforcement preferred
- Ability to work under stress/pressure
- Ability to lift 25 pounds
- Ability to wear a uniform
