Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Refrigeration Mechanic to support operations within a large warehouse environment, including a very large industrial refrigeration room exceeding 10,000 square feet. This role is responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of complex refrigeration systems, including compressor racks and associated equipment. In addition to refrigeration duties, this position will assist with general facilities maintenance and light equipment repair, such as forklifts, as needed.
This is a day‑shift role with excellent flexibility, though availability for on‑call response during temperature‑critical events is required.
Perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on industrial refrigeration systems, including compressor racks, refrigeration racks, and components inside large cold storage rooms.
Monitor system performance to ensure temperature stability and operational efficiency.
Respond to on‑call situations, particularly during temperature drops or system alarms.
Conduct preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
Assist with general facilities maintenance when needed, including lighting and basic mechanical repairs.
Perform basic forklift and warehouse equipment repairs.
Maintain accurate service and maintenance documentation.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
Coordinate with operations and management to prioritize repairs and minimize disruption.
Occasional local day travel may be required.
Experience working in large industrial refrigeration and boiler rooms.
Proficiency in maintenance repairs on industrial racks, compressor racks/parallel racks.
Knowledge of EPA regulations.
Experience with parallel systems software, HVAC engineering, and electrical systems.
Boiler license and boiler maintenance expertise.
Control system and facilities maintenance skills.
Skills & Qualifications
EPA certification is preferred.
3‑5 years of experience in a similar role.

Work EnvironmentThe work environment is clean but extremely cold, as it will be a freezer environment.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Montgomery, AL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $50,000.00 – $72,000.00/yr.
Benefits include medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k) with company match, paid holidays, sick time, earned vacation, and company vehicle or paid mileage.
