Responsibilities
- Layout and install wireway, buss duct, cable tray, switches receptacles and other devices.
- Build closets (mount and install backboards, cross connects, racks, patch panels, fiber optic and hardware).
- Install grounding for racks, equipment and cable as required.
- Complete all IDC connections (e.g. terminate 110/66 blocks and patch panels).
- Work inside and outside building to out data centers.
- Pull wire and/or oversee and direct conduit installations and wire pulling.
- Operate tools/equipment requiring the use of two hands (examples: cable cutters, hammer drills, compression tools, jack hammers, etc.).
- Network equipment experience.
- Fiber knowledge.
- Fiber troubleshooting.
- Cable, Cabling, Cat6, Rack and stack, Punchdown, Cat5, Cable installation, Structured cabling.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Montgomery, AL. This is a fully onsite position in Montgomery, AL.
Pay range: $21.00 - $25.00/hr.
