Maintenance Technician II - Facilities

- High School diploma required.
- Knowledge of trade skills: mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, plumbing, painting, doors, furniture, general utility.
- HVAC, plumbing, or refrigeration certificates preferred.
- Troubleshoot and repair facilities and industrial process equipment, including air handling units, exhaust fans, vacuum pumps, fire systems, generators, water systems, and mechanical alignments.
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment to keep it in good operational condition.
- Typical responsibilities: water heaters, plumbing, building inspections, roof inspections, pest control, resetting tripped breakers, cleaning clogged drains, paint, doors, furniture repairs, pump repairs and rebuilds, equipment setting and alignment.
- Document work performed in the CMMS, including history notes and time charges.
- Make appropriate suggestions and corrections to discrepancies found in documentation, drawings, BOMs/parts lists, procedures, work instructions, etc.
- Work with engineers, craftspeople, automation and other resources on process upgrades and equipment changes.
- Provide input to engineering on design, installation, and maintenance of new equipment.
- Coordinate outside services as necessary.
- Identify equipment needs for facility upkeep by sourcing, purchasing, and installing required equipment.
- Coordinate directly with vendors in instance of emergency facility or utility repairs.
- Track and maintain service documentation relating to facility and utility repairs.
- Coordinate and execute asset removal.
