Overview
Join one of the Southeast's most respected white‑glove moving and installation companies. For nearly 30 years, McCorquodale Transfer has helped interior designers, luxury homeowners, and businesses relocate, store, and install fine furnishings, artwork, and antiques with exceptional care. We’re looking for a hands‑on Crew Leader who can lead by example, deliver outstanding customer service, and help create exceptional moving experiences.
ResponsibilitiesAs a Crew Leader, you’ll supervise and work alongside a team of 2–4 movers while serving as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the move.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading moving crews during packing, loading, transportation, unloading, and installation
- Delivering exceptional customer service to high‑end residential and commercial clients
- Assigning tasks and ensuring efficient team performance
- Protecting and handling valuable furnishings, artwork, and antiques
- Maintaining safety standards and equipment readiness
- Solving problems in the field and communicating with operations teams
- Motivating team members and fostering a positive work environment
- Ensuring every move meets McCorquodale's white‑glove service standards
Required:
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to travel 50–70% of the time, including occasional overnight stays
- Experience leading teams or supervising employees
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to lift, move, and safely handle heavy furniture and household items
- Professional attitude and strong work ethic
- Experience in the moving, logistics, furniture delivery, installation, or transportation industries
- Prior crew leader, supervisor, or team lead experience
- Experience working directly with customers in a service environment
This is a physically active role requiring:
- Frequent lifting and moving of furniture and household items up to 100 lbs.
- Standing, walking, climbing stairs, bending, kneeling, and carrying items throughout the day
- Working in residential and commercial environments
- Medical insurance

- 10 days of PTO, prorated during the first year

- Primarily Monday–Friday work schedule, with weekend work being very rare, especially compared to the rest of the moving industry

- Most uniforms are supplied by the company. Currently, employees are responsible for shoes and shorts/pants, but we plan to expand company‑covered uniform items in the near future.
