Position: Web Developer (Graphic Designer)

Overview

Advanced Technologies is seeking a full-time Web Developer / Graphic Designer / Document Accessibility Specialist to provide support and maintenance services for the existing client, Alabama State Department of Education (ALSDE), website.

Responsibilities
  • Provide support and maintenance services for the existing ALSDE website.
  • Develop new website features and functionality as defined by the client.
  • Remediate PDF documents, Word files, Excel spreadsheets, and PowerPoint presentations to meet WCAG 2.1/2.2 AA and PDF/UA standards.
  • Perform other closely related professional services typically associated with website development, maintenance, and support, including but not limited to:
    • Writing and editing content
    • Document remediation
    • Solving code problems
    • Training
    • Preparation of documentation
    • Other problem‑solving tasks
    • Designing webpage layout
  • Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or a related field with two (2) to three (3) years of professional design experience. Portfolio of strong creative work. Experience with HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
