Service Now Developer
Seeking an experienced Service Now Developer to design, develop, test, and implement solutions on the enterprise Service Now platform. This is a hands-on development role focused on creating custom configurations, workflows, and integrations to support ITSM, Security Operations, and Governance, Risk, and Compliance functions. The ideal candidate will contribute immediately and possess the skills necessary to become a long-term member of the development team.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and deploy Service Now solutions aligned with organizational requirements.
- Write and maintain JavaScript code utilizing Service Now and Glide APIs.
- Develop Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, UI Policies, UI Actions, and Access Control Lists (ACLs).
- Create workflows and automation processes using Flow Designer.
- Develop and manage Service Catalog items, forms, approval workflows, and related configurations.
- Build and support REST/SOAP API integrations for seamless data exchange.
- Develop solutions involving Configuration Management Database (CMDB) data and integrations.
- Analyze technical requirements and create detailed designs and specifications.
- Troubleshoot issues related to code, workflows, integrations, and application performance.
- Participate in testing phases, upgrades, releases, and production deployments, ensuring high-quality delivery.
- Maintain comprehensive technical documentation and facilitate knowledge transfer sessions.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on Service Now development experience; this excludes administrative roles.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript and Service Now scripting, including Glide APIs.
- Experience developing Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, Flow Designer, Service Catalog, ACLs, and API integrations.
- Prior experience working with Service Now ITSM, Sec Ops, and GRC/IRM modules.
- Knowledge of CMDB and Configuration Management practices.
- Proven application development experience, including coding, testing, implementation, and support.
- Ability to analyze systems requirements and develop technical specifications and designs.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and troubleshooting abilities.
Publishing Pay Range: $40.00 – $50.00 Hourly. This is a fully on-site role and requires working in Montgomery, AL. Interested candidates should be committed to a long-term engagement with the organization.
