Customer Delivery Specialist (Class A CDL Driver)
NALCO Water, an Ecolab Company, has an immediate need for a Customer Delivery Specialist. You will provide customer delivery of chemicals and safely operate a diesel tanker vehicle over congested city highways, rolling and mountainous terrain, and rural roads. You will also provide preventative maintenance for any vehicle used to deliver chemicals to customers, plants, and warehouse locations.

- Safely operate vehicles including tank and dry van trucks.
- Follow a dedicated Tuesday - Saturday delivery schedule.
- Deliver only within a 500 to 700‑mile radius from the plant location.
- Maintain driver’s hours of service by using Samsara or paper log‑book reporting.
- Load trailers and schedule daily runs to meet customer delivery requirements.
- Maintain trucks and equipment in a safe condition by performing daily and periodic mechanical and safety inspections.
- Keep accurate, up‑to‑date delivery location maps and operate in accordance with DOT regulations and homeland security guidelines governing the transportation of hazardous materials.
- Maintain regular communication with sales and supervisors to report field problems and/or safety hazards.
- Follow Ecolab Verified Delivery procedures for all delivery assignments.
- Wear appropriate safety gear at all times during delivery operations.
- Keep current on safety techniques and take advantage of opportunities to improve driving and safety skills.
- Recognize and avoid safety hazards in the work environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL), no restrictions with Haz Mat & Tanker.
- At least three years of commercial driving experience, compliant with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and recent DOT regulations.
- At least three years of an acceptable motor‑vehicle record.
- Willingness to travel up to five days per week; home on weekends and holidays.
- Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs.
- No immigration sponsorship offered for this role.
- Ability to back‑park and parallel‑park bulk tankers, straight trucks, semi‑trucks, and trailers into narrow passages around expensive industrial equipment.
- Knowledge of equipment and compliance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and DOT regulations governing the transportation of hazardous materials.
- Undergo additional background screens and/or drug/alcohol testing for customer credentialing.
- Be fully vaccinated for COVID‑19, including a booster if eligible, unless a religious or medical accommodation is requested and approved by Ecolab.
- Annual or hourly compensation range: $31 - $33 / hr.
