On Call Courier Driver

Courier Driver – Full Time Company Overview At MACS Freight, LLC., we are committed to timely, reliable delivery services that our customers can count on. We pride ourselves on efficiency, professionalism, and exceptional customer service.

Position Summary We are seeking a dependable and motivated On-Call Courier Driver to join our team. This role is responsible for handling on-call deliveries during evening hours and completing a scheduled delivery route overnight. The ideal candidate is organized, punctual, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule On-Call Availability: 8:00 p.m.

- 12:30 a.m.Scheduled Route: 12:30 a.m.

- 3:30 a.m.This route operates 7 days per week and will be covered by a rotating schedule between two drivers. Drivers will alternate working 3 and 4 day schedules each week to ensure full route coverage.

During on-call hours, drivers must remain available to respond to delivery requests as needed. Following the on-call period, the driver will complete a dedicated overnight route.

Key Responsibilities Pick up and deliver packages to assigned locations in a timely manner

Respond promptly to dispatch communications and delivery requests

Complete assigned overnight delivery route accurately and on schedule

Verify delivery information and obtain signatures when required

Maintain accurate delivery records and logs Communicate with dispatch regarding delays, issues, or updates

Provide professional and courteous service to customers

Perform basic vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs

Qualifications

Possess and maintain a clean criminal background and acceptable MVRPossess and maintain a valid driver's license

Pass pre-employment, post-accident, random, reasonable suspicion, and return-to-work drug screens

Ability to work overnight and remain dependable during on-call hours

Be able to safely operate the following vehicles: economy car, mini-van, and cargo van Familiarity with local roads and navigation tools

Follow all traffic laws

Meet or exceed ALL deadlines with a 98% accuracy

Skills & Competencies Excellent time management and organizational skills

Strong attention to detail

Ability to work independently

Strong communication and customer service skills
