Job Description:

Airbus Americas, Inc is looking for a Fleet Manager to join our team based in Mobile, AL
.

Airbus is seeking an experienced and strategic Fleet Manager to oversee, optimize, and manage the operational lifecycle of our designated aircraft fleets. In this role, you will serve as the primary interface between operations, engineering, and external strategic suppliers. You will be responsible for ensuring maximum fleet availability, compliance with international aviation regulations, and driving continuous improvement in fleet performance and cost-efficiency.

Reporting to the Contracts Manager, the Fleet Manager will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring service levels and value for money are realized for the entire fleet of assets within the Mobile Manufacturing Site.
  • Managing third party service providers, vehicles, drivers, and other assets for fleet transportation services.
  • Managing the implementation of fleet management software to streamline vehicle fleet operations and maintenance.
  • Overseeing the purchase or lease of all vehicles and ensuring the program is right-sized to meet campus needs.

Your Working Environment:

On 'Airbus Way', you will find the Airbus U.S. Manufacturing Facility for commercial aircraft. Opened at the Mobile Aeroplex at Brookley in 2015, the facility produces A320 Family aircraft and added a second product line for the A220 in 2019. Your Challenges:
  • Fleet Performance & Availability:
    Monitor, analyze, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) regarding fleet health, reliability, and operational availability. Identify technical trends and implement corrective actions.
  • Supplier & Contract Management:
    Act as the main point of contact for strategic supplier transitions and ongoing vendor performance. Ensure SLAs (Service Level Agreements) are strictly met.
  • Maintenance & Engineering Focal Point:
    Work closely with engineering, quality control, and production teams to plan major maintenance blocks, retrofits, and modifications minimizing operational disruption.
  • Change Management & Proactive Communication:
    Lead operational and strategic changes across the fleet and ensure that critical updates are communicated to stakeholders in advance.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
    Ensure the fleet complies with FAA, EASA, and other relevant aviation regulatory authorities, maintaining meticulous documentation and airworthiness standards.
  • Budgeting & Cost Optimization:
