Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee and direct all warehouse operations at our Montgomery, Alabama facility. This role is responsible for managing receiving, warehousing, inventory control, shipping, and distribution activities. The Warehouse Manager ensures operational efficiency, accuracy, regulatory compliance, safety, and team development across all warehouse functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and direct all daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory control, order fulfillment, and shipping
  • Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and best practices to maximize efficiency and minimize cost
  • Monitor and manage warehouse budgets, labor costs, and key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Oversee inventory management to ensure optimal stock levels, accuracy, and alignment with demand across multiple product lines
  • Ensure inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, and timely resolution of discrepancies
  • Coordinate with Supply Chain, Procurement, Sales, and Customer Service teams to align warehouse operations with broader business objectives
  • Manage relationships with carriers, freight brokers, and third-party logistics providers for both small parcel and LTL/FTL shipments
  • Plan and optimize warehouse layout, slotting, and storage strategies to maximize space utilization
  • Implement and enforce safety standards, OSHA compliance, and operational procedures across the facility
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to streamline workflows, reduce errors, and increase throughput
  • Manage pick/pack operations and finished goods shipments to ensure on-time delivery
  • Oversee facility maintenance, equipment upkeep, and vendor relationships
  • Prepare and present operational reports, metrics, and forecasts to senior leadership
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Recruit, interview, and select qualified warehouse staff based on skills, knowledge, and job requirements
  • Lead, mentor, and develop warehouse supervisors, team leads, and associates
  • Manage performance through regular evaluations, goal‑setting, coaching, and ongoing training
  • Direct daily task assignments and provide guidance and support as needed
  • Partner with HR on disciplinary actions, employee relations, and workforce planning
  • Manage work schedules, staffing levels, and overtime to meet operational demands
  • Approve PTO requests, timesheets, and ensure accurate labor tracking
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of progressive warehouse or distribution center experience, with at least 2 years in a management role (required)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage teams of 15+ employees across multiple shifts
  • Strong experience with inventory management, shipping/receiving, and distribution operations
  • Experience with small parcel and LTL/FTL shipment management
  • Proficiency with warehouse management systems (SAP preferred)
  • Strong organizational, analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations, compliance requirements, and warehouse best practices
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in a warehouse environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (preferred); equivalent combination of education and experience considered
Schedule
  • Full‑time, approximately 40+ hours/week (additional hours may be required during peak periods)
  • On‑site at the Montgomery, Alabama facility
