• Experience: Minimum two (2) years bedside clinical experience (highly desired)
• License: Active RN license
• Certifications: BLS (required prior to first shift); ACLS required prior to first shift (CIRH only)
• Strong clinical assessment, care planning, and nursing documentation skills
• Comfort caring for medically complex, high-acuity patients in a long-term acute care environment

• Complete comprehensive nursing assessments within required time frames and develop individualized plans of care
• Deliver direct patient care using the nursing process (assess, plan, implement, evaluate), including patient and family education
• Document assessments, interventions, medications, and patient responses accurately and on time in the medical record
• Communicate changes in patient condition promptly to physicians, charge nurse, and the care team to support continuity and patient safety
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds/conferences and provide clear updates for initial and weekly re-evaluation meetings
• Initiate discharge planning on admission and reinforce teaching to support safe transitions of care
• Delegate appropriately; supervise and support ancillary staff; assist with training and unit teamwork
• Promote a safe environment through infection prevention, safe patient handling, and hazard awareness
• May assume charge nurse responsibilities after orientation, as needed
