Imaging Technologist in Training – Bethesda North Hospital

Location- Bethesda North Hospital at 10500 Montgomery Road, Montgomery, OH 45242

- This role offers competitive shift differentials, with the opportunity to earn up to an additional $7 per hour based on shift, hours worked, and organizational guidelines.

Under the direction of the radiologist and supervision of the department manager/supervisor this position is responsible for working effectively with patients and family to provide patient care, maintaining a cooperative relationship with interdepartmental team members, complies with infection prevention procedures, providing clerical support, accurate records, care of equipment, coordination with technologists the flow of patients throughout the department, responsible for patient observation, patient transport and assisting patients with personal needs and needs to be able to recognize status change and call for appropriate assistance and is available for other duties as needed.
This person must be enrolled in an imaging program or field of study.
- Complies with infection prevention procedures, utilizing safety and reliability practices and standards, and upholds all other compliance protocols and practices.
- Demonstrates flexibility and/or initiative in seeking or accepting additional assignments.
- Supports team and department operations assisting with care of equipment, coordinating with technologists the flow of patients throughout the process.
- Assists other team members when their assignment is slow, finds work to do in the department or flexes off if needed.
- Works effectively with patients and families to provide patient care, schedules patient appointments, and performs patient observation, patient transport and assists patients with personal needs.
- Recognizes status changes, calls for appropriate assistance, and notifies manager as appropriate.
- Participates in ensuring reliable performance and assessment of equipment, performing required daily and monthly quality control procedures prior to use.
