- Full Time Days (36 hrs/week)
- 6am – 6pm, with flexibility to work 8s, 10s or 12s
- Team members select their weekend call, averaging 2 weekend days every six weeks
- Varying day shifts
The CVOR consists of four cardiothoracic operating rooms and two hybrid rooms, supporting a comprehensive cardiac and thoracic surgery program. The team is highly cohesive across the entire CVOR and all disciplines, fostering a collaborative, family-like environment where everyone works well together. Surgical volumes have steadily increased over the past 2–5 years, reflecting program growth, stability, and ongoing opportunities within a strong and well‑supported cardiac and thoracic service line.

Job Requirements- Associate’s Degree in Nursing (required)
- Minimum of 1‑2 years of relevant OR experience required
- Two or more years of CVOR experience strongly preferred
- Experience with open heart procedures (CABG, valve replacement/repair) as well as with vascular and endovascular cases required
- Prior experience in a scrub and/or circulator role within CVOR
- Knowledge, judgment and skills derived from the principles of biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences to meet complex health care needs at various stages of the life cycle
- ACLS within 180 days required
- Registered Nurse licensure required
- Performs comprehensive initial and ongoing patient/family assessments and documents per policy
- Develops, implements, and updates individualized plans of care based on assessments, standards of care, and patient outcomes
- Provides safe, ethical, patient‑centered care while advocating for patient rights, dignity, and diversity
- Prioritizes workload, recognizes changes in patient condition, and initiates emergency interventions as needed
- Implements and documents nursing interventions, patient education, and interdisciplinary care coordination
- Accurately interprets and executes physician orders using critical thinking and clinical judgment
- Evaluates patient outcomes and revises plans of care in collaboration with patients, families, and the healthcare team
- Delegates and supervises care appropriately to ensure quality and safety
- Performs technical skills and administers medications and treatments safely per policy
- Demonstrates professional accountability through leadership, teamwork, continuous learning, and participation in organizational activities
