PRIMARY

PURPOSE:

The Digital Lab Facilitator & Internship Coordinator is responsible for
managing the daily operations of the Digital Learning Lab while coordinating internship and
work-based learning opportunities for high school students. This position supports students in
online learning, concurrent enrollment, and career readiness while developing partnerships with
local businesses, industries, and post-secondary institutions. The facilitator works collaboratively
with teachers, counselors, administrators, employers, and families to ensure students are
prepared for success in college, careers, and the workforce.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Digital Learning Lab Management
  • ? Supervise students assigned to the Digital Learning Lab throughout the school day.
  • ? Maintain a structured, safe, and productive learning environment that promotes student success.
  • ? Assist students with online coursework, Virtual Arkansas classes, concurrent enrollment courses, credit recovery, and digital learning platforms.
  • ? Monitor student attendance, academic progress, assignment completion, and course pacing.
  • ? Encourage student responsibility, organization, time management, and independent learning.
  • ? Provide basic technology support and coordinate technology concerns with district technology personnel when necessary.
  • ? Communicate regularly with classroom teachers regarding student progress and academic concerns.
  • ? Maintain accurate records related to student attendance, grades, and program participation.
Internship & Work-Based Learning Coordination
  • ? Develop and maintain partnerships with local businesses, industries, colleges, government agencies, and community organizations.
  • ? Recruit and coordinate internship, apprenticeship, job shadowing, and other work-based learning opportunities.
  • ? Match students with internship placements based on career interests, graduation plans, and pathway requirements.
  • ? Coordinate internship schedules with students, employers, counselors, and teachers.
  • ? Conduct regular communication and site visits with internship partners to monitor student progress and employer satisfaction.
  • ? Ensure students understand and demonstrate workplace expectations, professionalism, punctuality, communication, and appropriate work habits.
  • ? Maintain internship agreements, evaluations, training plans, time logs, and required district or state documentation.
  • ? Assist students with resume development, interview preparation, career exploration, and employability skills.
Student Support & Career Readiness
  • ? Support students in developing college, career, and workforce readiness skills.
  • ? Assist students in setting academic and career goals aligned with their Individual Graduation Plan.
  • ? Encourage participation in career pathways, concurrent credit opportunities, certifications, and workforce credential programs.
  • ? Coordinate career awareness activities including guest speakers, career fairs, industry tours, and workforce presentations.
  • ? Build positive relationships with students while maintaining high expectations for academic achievement and professional conduct.
  • ? Collaborate with counselors and administrators to identify students who would benefit from internship or digital learning opportunities.
Physical Requirements
  • ? Ability to supervise and move throughout the campus as needed.
  • ? Ability to lift, bend, stand, and walk for extended periods.
  • ? Ability to respond appropriately during student crises or emergencies.
