Key Responsibilities- Financial Reporting:
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; reconcile accounts; support close processes. - General Ledger Management:
Maintain GL accuracy, post journal entries, and ensure proper coding aligned with company policy. - Cost Accounting:
Track production costs, analyze variances, and support inventory valuation for manufacturing workflows. - Accounts Payable & Receivable:
Process invoices, monitor aging, ensure timely collections, and maintain vendor compliance. - Budget Support:
Assist with annual budgeting, forecasting cycles, and departmental spend analysis. - Audit & Compliance:
Support internal and external audits; maintain documentation; ensure adherence to GAAP and company policies. - Process Improvement:
Identify efficiency opportunities, streamline workflows, and enhance reporting accuracy. - Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner with operations, procurement, HR, and leadership to ensure financial clarity and support decision-making.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance.
- 7-10+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing or production environments.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and cost accounting principles.
- Proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP, Net Suite, or similar, along with advanced Excel skills.
- Ability to analyze complex data, communicate clearly, and maintain accuracy under deadlines.
- Demonstrated integrity, confidentiality, and commitment to high-quality financial work.
- Experience in polymer, chemical, or industrial manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of inventory accounting, standard costing, and production workflows.
- Familiarity with Lean or continuous improvement methodologies.
- Strong interpersonal skills and comfort working with cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated leadership potential and interest in long-term career progression, with the capability to grow into a senior financial leadership role such as VP of Finance within 5-7 years.
