Mechanical Technician

Overview

The Mechanical Technician supports production efficiency improvements through process automation and uptime. Technician is involved with various aspects of improvement projects (including planning, development, implementation and documentation) and skill disciplines (mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, electronics and controls). Primary emphasis for this position will be mechanical design, development and hands on implementation of projects.

• Assist with mechanical design for process automation equipment
• Troubleshoot new and existing equipment
• Project documentation: cad drawings, etc.
• Equipment construction and repair, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic
• Maintain and operate 3D printers
• Provide technical support to other departments
• Other duties as assigned to support overall team effort

• Proficiency with MS Office and similar office software
• Beneficial skills include:
• Experience with 3D printing technology,
• Mechanical design using Autocad or Inventor
• Blueprints – reading and creating
• Automation Hardware Development and Debugging
• Ability to work independently, exercise judgment and show initiative
• Strong aptitude for automation project work
• Organized, goal oriented and able to focus on completing tasks

• 8-hour shift
• Monday through Friday
• Additional as needed

• Full-time, hourly

• Associate degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, or similar
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar capacity and similar environment
• Physical Demands:
  The position requires good physical ability/mobility and vision (including close/distance, depth perception and color).
