6:00 PM - 6:30 AM

• 24 months of role experience is required, with some in the last 12 months.
• Must have at least 18 months of Progressive Care Unit experience.
• Experience with Cerner is preferred.
• Trauma Level 2 experience is preferred.

• Candidates must have an Indiana license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations.
• Travel only, local not allowed.
• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.
• 12‑month gap required between placements for Staff at Program:
  Aya Program – IU Health; no current placement allowed at Program:
  Aya Program – IU Health.
• 12‑month gap required between placements for Per Diem at Program:
  Aya Program – IU Health; no current placement allowed at Program:

Med Surg PCU

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

• Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias
• Use of Rapid Response Teams
• Peripheral Line Care/Management
• Nasal Cannula, Oxygen face masks, Portable Oxygen tank, Non‑invasive airway management

• Orthopedics, Chest tubes‑Emerson/Pleur Evac, BiPAP/CPAP management/maintenance, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC)
• Tracheostomy care/management, MS/Tele, Telemetry, Cardiac Telemetry, Neuro Stepdown
• Pacemakers/Temporary/Permanent, Post Cardiac Angiogram, Post MI
• IV insulin protocols, Titration of Insulin drips
• Feeding tube care and management, Continuous Bladder Irrigation (CBI), Renal failure
• Accessing/Managing Ports, Arterial line management, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, Phlebotomy, PICC line management, Starting and maintaining IVs
• Heparin Protocols, Manage Cardiac drips – no titration, Procedural Sedation Administration/Monitoring
• Thrombolytic Agents, Titrate Cardiac drips, Vasoactive drips, CVA, Intracranial bleeds, Post TPA care, Seizure disorders, Substance Withdrawal, Surgical drains

IU Health will not allow IN RN’s to work at their facilities. Exceptions include:
Periop/OR RN’s, Allied and Ambulatory RN travelers are exempt from this rule. Periop includes ENDO, IR RN, PACU, Cath Lab RN, SDS.

• This is an auto‑offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request.
• All time off requests must be submitted eduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment.
• Any offers for this job will require a clear “Yes” or “No” response from the nurse within 24 hrs or the offer must be declined.

5 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 1.
