Production Manager, Production QC/QA, Operations Management
Position Summary
Directs the daily activities of the production team, ensures quality processes and standards. May lead the team in the development of new production initiatives. Provides hiring, promotion, and disciplinary action recommendations, as well as performance evaluation and feedback for direct reports.
Major Responsibilities- Directs the efforts of assigned personnel to facilitate an orderly flow of products to meet output goals, throughput times, and inventory levels established by production plans.
- Manages the demand/pull and Kanban in conjunction with the production control schedule assigned to the product.
- Participates in the selection, training and motivation of employees to ensure proper staffing and production levels of areas assigned, and makes specific work assignments as required to meet production demands, maintain equipment utilization, quality levels, and efficient labor utilization.
- Works with Quality Control to establish and maintain acceptable levels of product quality, facilitating problem‑solving programs and corrective action plans as required.
- Conducts periodic evaluation of employees, maintains necessary support data, and ensures fair and consistent practices with the Personnel Department, establishing plant guidelines and practices.
- Performs necessary analysis to ensure the accuracy and validity of all labor reporting in assigned areas, developing and maintaining data to support the appraisal review program.
- Maintains housekeeping, safety training, safety communication, and employee compliance with all safety rules and practices.
- Participates with product managers in recommending staffing, spending, and equipment; facilitates problem‑solving teams and formulates corrective action plans. Implements company policies and procedures consistently to ensure fairness to all employees.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Any applicable certifications will be a plus to this position.
- Experience in the aerospace industry is a plus.
- General understanding and working knowledge of bearings and special processes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
