Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)
As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you’ll play a key hands‑on role in helping clients regain strength, mobility, and independence. Working under the guidance of a Physical Therapist and following customized treatment plans, you’ll deliver supportive, meaningful care that makes a real impact in clients’ daily lives. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working directly with people, values teamwork and thrives in a compassionate, client‑centered environment.

What You’ll Do- Provide one‑on‑one physical therapy treatments based on the care plan created by the Physical Therapist and physician.
- Help clients learn how to use mobility devices and therapeutic equipment such as wheelchairs, braces, and other assistive tools.
- Observe and report client progress, reactions, and changes in condition to the care team.
- Support the Physical Therapist by offering suggestions on equipment needs or home environment modifications.
- Teach clients and their families how to perform exercises and supportive activities safely and effectively.
- Document visits, interventions, observations, and communications clearly and accurately.
- Coordinate with scheduling to ensure timely visits and maintain expected productivity.
- Communicate consistently with the Physical Therapist and broader care team about progress, goals, and discharge planning.
- Provide encouragement and build positive, professional relationships with clients and their families.
- Completion of a two‑year Physical Therapy Assistant program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association.
- At least six months of experience working under a licensed Physical Therapist (home health experience is a plus).
- Comfort working independently and confidently in a home‑based care environment.
- Commitment to continuous learning and following agency policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift, stand, walk, bend, and assist clients with positioning throughout the day.
- Comfortable lifting up to 35 pounds independently.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and visit various work locations as needed.
