Position Title: CNC Setup/Programmer

Wage: $25-$30/hour

Shift: 1st

Hours: 5:00am-3:00pm Monday-Thursday

Take the lead on setups, programming, and first‑piece quality in a fast‑growing CNC shop! We’re seeking an experienced and detail‑oriented CNC Setup/Programmer to join the team. This role is responsible for setting up, programming, and troubleshooting CNC machinery to produce high‑quality parts that meet customer specifications. Candidates must demonstrate professionalism, strong technical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

This is an associate‑to‑hire role in Monticello, Iowa.

Responsibilities
  • Set up and program CNC machines to produce parts according to specifications
  • Edit and troubleshoot CNC programs as needed to improve efficiency and quality
  • Read and interpret blueprints, including GD&T, to ensure accuracy
  • Perform first‑piece inspections and quality checks using precision measuring tools
  • Load and unload materials and finished parts (up to 50 pounds)
  • Assist operators with machine adjustments and troubleshooting
  • Complete daily production and quality documentation
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines
Requirements
  • Previous CNC setup and programming experience required
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T
  • Experience using machinist measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, s, etc.)
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Positive attitude and professional work ethic
  • Willingness to train and support team members as needed
  • Ability to stand, walk, and bend for up to 10 hours per shift
  • Ability to lift and move parts up to 50 pounds
  • Equipment used includes CNC machines, micrometers, calipers, step gauges, and s
  • Work is performed in a manufacturing/production environment
  • Overtime may be required based on production needs
  • Must follow all PPE and safety requirements
  • Adhere to dress code
