Machine Operator 2nd Shift

Base pay starts at $20 per hour plus $1.00 per hour shift differential.

2nd Shift: 3:15 pm – 1:45 am.

• Set up and operate heavy machinery and related gauges to perform various cutting, punching, forming, blocking, and processing operations.
• Use a submerged arc welder to weld flat bar.
• Knowledge of production techniques and ability to produce quality building parts.
• Understand and follow all safety rules and precautions necessary for working in and around a manufacturing environment.
• Operate computerized equipment and material handling equipment.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance, adjustments, and lubrication on equipment and production tools as required to maintain proper operation.
• Mark part number, order number, and number of pieces on parts; attach identification tags as required for customers to locate correct parts.
• Maintain continuous improvement practices in the work area.
• Repetitive material handling, some in awkward body positioning.
• Repetitive climbing on and off equipment and ladders.
• Varying and extreme working conditions inside and outside (hot, cold, rain, shine).

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a high‑production manufacturing environment.
• Interpret blueprints, specifications, and other technical data and select correct raw material or semi‑finished parts.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist.
• Must be at least 18 years of age to apply.
