Faculty – Tenure/Tenure Track

University of Arkansas at Monticello (UAM), one of twenty campuses of the University of Arkansas System, is located in southeastern Arkansas. UAM is a comprehensive, residential and commuter institution offering undergraduate and some master’s degree programs.

Summary of

Job Duties

The successful candidate will teach the equivalent of 12 credits per semester. The person hired will be expected to engage in an active program of scholarship with students, provide academic advisement, advise undergraduate projects, participate in university service, and support a culture of collegiality and civility.

Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in Psychology or a closely related field.
  • ABD candidates who have completed their degrees by December 2026 will be considered.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach undergraduate level courses in introductory psychology, research methods in psychology, statistical methods in psychology, developmental psychology, and/or other courses in an undergraduate psychology program.
  • Ability to maintain an active program of scholarship in the field of psychology.
  • Teaching experience with online instruction using the Blackboard learning platform and field experience in areas of specialization is highly desirable.
Salary Information

Commensurate with education and experience.
