LTS Speech-Language Pathologist

Monticello is centrally located on Interstate 94 less than 25 miles northwest of Maple Grove and 30 miles southeast of Saint Cloud. It is home to five brick and mortar schools and two nature-based facilities serving more than 4,000 students annually. Monticello consistently ranks in the top 50 school districts in the state as measured by a number of organizations and metrics, and performs above the state average in graduation rates, test scores, and early college opportunities.

This position will complete speech and language for students Grades 1 - 5 within the Sherburne Northern Wright Special Education Cooperative member districts of Becker, Big Lake, and Monticello. The speech-language pathologist will collaborate with other service providers during evaluations.

• Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in the State of Minnesota
• Valid Minnesota Driver's License
• Knowledge and experience working with students with speech and language impairments

• Knowledge and experience completing assessments and due process and follow timeline requirements of special education
• Experience completing Part C and Part B evaluations
• Must be able to assure and implement state and federal laws, statutes, rules and regulations pertaining to special education
• Team oriented approach when working with students, colleagues, families, and administrators
• Effective communication and teaming skills, both verbally and in writing, with students, parents, teachers, administrators, community and staff
• Establishes a culture for learning by supporting the mission, beliefs and the strategic plan of the district
• Inspires and engages all students in relevant learning
• Maintain confidentiality of information about students, staff and families
• Experience working with diverse students and families - experience/training with CLR (Culturally Linguistically Responsive) methods preferred
