American Traveler is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery RN for a night shift travel assignment at a small LDRP unit in Minnesota, requiring NRP, AWHONN Intermediate, and FHM certifications.
Details- 6-bed LDRP unit within a community hospital setting
- Scope of care includes Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, Triage, Antepartum, Normal Newborn, and Special Care Nursery
- Patient population includes gestational ages of 36 weeks or higher
- Special Care Nursery responsibilities include infant IV starts and management, and High Flow Oxygen
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
- Every third weekend required
- Epic EMR required
- Active MN RN license in hand or proof of MN license application required
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience
- Required certifications: BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate, FHM
- Preferred certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced
- Newborn and nursery experience required
- Community hospital experience preferred
- Charge nurse experience preferred
- Prior travel experience not required
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be considered; local candidates are not accepted
- Former permanent employees of the facility must have been separated for at least 9 months before returning as a traveler
- Maximum of 7 days RTO permitted for the assignment; no RTO during the first 2 weeks
- All RTO requests must be disclosed and approved at the time of submission
- Holiday coverage is required as needed by the facility
- All travelers must complete Minnesota Livescan fingerprinting in person in Minnesota within 48 hours of contract signing; this is a Minnesota state requirement with no exceptions and applies to all travelers regardless of residency
- Travelers are responsible for all travel expenses related to fingerprinting
- Required lab work must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing
- Vaccine exemption documentation must be submitted if requesting a medical or religious exemption
