Salary Level: $90,000 - $115,000 per year + bonus program up to 40%

Position open for onsite in Monticello, MN or remote in Cleveland, Ohio or Indianapolis, IN.

We’re looking for a Business Development Manager to lead growth for our Python Division in the Eastern US; a results-driven sales professional with a hunter mindset and a passion for winning in industrial markets.

What You’ll Do

This individual owns the territory sales plan, manages the pipeline and forecast, and partners with distributors, OEMs, and cross-functional internal teams to expand Python’s business in the industrial and commercial marketplace while strengthening its competitive positioning.

What You’ll Do

  • Drive new business by prospecting, pursuing, and capturing high-value opportunities across industrial markets.
  • Develop and own the territory’s annual sales plan to achieve revenue, margin, and market growth targets.
  • Collaborate with product managers and engineers to propose custom and configured solutions for OEMs.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts and pipeline visibility aligned with company financial goals.
  • Expand Python’s brand presence through strategic relationships with OEMs, distributors, manufacturers’ reps, and vendors.
  • Serve as the voice of the customer; sharing insights that shape future product development and market strategies.
  • Partner cross-functionally with engineering, operations, supply chain, and marketing teams to deliver measurable business outcomes.
  • Provide competitive and market intelligence to anticipate trends and support strategic decisions.
  • Represent the brand at training seminars, trade shows, and industry events.

What You Bring

  • 3+ years of experience in sales or business development within industrial manufacturing or a related industry.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and time-management abilities.
  • A driven, collaborative, and competitive spirit with a team-first mindset.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field.
  • Success navigating complex sales cycles with technical or custom-engineered products.
  • Experience in industrial applications, off-highway equipment, or fluid power systems.

  • Travel:
    Up to 40% throughout the Eastern U.S.
  • Tools for success: CRM, Microsoft Office Suite, and cross-functional support from engineering, supply chain, and marketing.
