The Construction Supervisor’s primary role is to work in conjunction with Project Managers to assure jobs are completed in a timely fashion and according to customer requirements.
Essential Functions and ResponsibilitiesReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Responsible for checking the quality of work performed on construction sites and remedying quality as necessary
- Provide direction to staff to ensure efficient and cost effective operation within approved operating budgets
- Responsible for total management of assigned staff. This includes hiring, disciplining, training and supervision of employees
- Coordinate construction plans with crews and sub-contractors
- Complete and maintain all necessary project paperwork
- Communicate with management on project progress and developments
- Serve the liaison between the Company, customers and utilities
- Responsible for ordering and tracking construction materials
- May lay-out and design construction maps, and work from the maps of others
- Responsible to identify unsafe / hazardous conditions for self, other employees, customers, and the general public
- Adhere to all established company safety policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
Must be willing to travel
Knowledge,Skills and Abilities
- Must have good customer relations and communication skills
- Maintain professional attitude and appearance at all times
- Must have RF & OSP construction experience
- Be self‑motivated with ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Demonstrate the ability to interact effectively and cooperatively with a wide variety of personalities
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks and projects
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED
- Must have at least five (5) years’ experience as communications construction supervisor
- Must have a valid driver’s license with 2 years’ driving experience and a clear driving record
Ability to pass a criminal background screen
Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle background test
Ability to perform the physical duties of the job with or without reasonable accommodation
Be able to pass pre‑employment drug screen and background checks
