Life Flight operates eight SPIFR EC145’s and one BK117C1. This position offers a competitive salary, a $25,000 bonus for pilots, 1.5× base salary for extra shifts, additional financial incentives, and relocation assistance reviewed case by case.

• Conduct safe and efficient flight assignments for patient conveyance.
• Process flight assignments from the Life Flight Communications Center, accepting or declining based on weather or safety factors.
• Plan flight assignments and obtain briefing information on purpose, weather, operating procedures, and special instructions.
• Conduct a start‑of‑shift briefing with medical, communications, and ground personnel.
• Prepare aircraft pre‑flight per the General Operating Manual: inspection, loading, equipping, fueling, and staffing.
• Supervise/assist cargo and passenger loading, ensuring weight and balance within limits per aircraft manual.
• Secure cargo and ensure emergency equipment is aboard.
• File, activate, and close flight plans; complete flight logs, records, and maintenance forms.
• Check aircraft discrepancy log prior to flight; log mechanical discrepancies and inform maintenance.
• Notify Communications Center of aircraft service status.
• Participate in post‑flight debriefings; keep navigation charts current.
• Maintain proficiency as Pilot‑in‑Command and in SPIFR operations.

Schedule:

7 days on / 7 days off. Eligible for $25,000 bonus.

• FAA Commercial Pilot with Instrument Rating (2000 hrs total time or 1500 hrs with ATP rating).
• 1500 hrs Helicopter Time, 1000 hrs Helicopter Pilot in Command time, 75 hrs actual or simulated instrument time.
• Helicopter Turbine Time: 1000 hrs (500 hrs cross‑country, 100 hrs night flight).

High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED). (Required)
