Financial Specialist III

Overview

The Department of Motor Vehicles seeks a highly organized professional with excellent attention to detail to join our Accounts Receivable Team as a Financial Specialist III.

The ideal candidate will possess the ability to multi-task and to contribute and communicate effectively in a team environment, as well as the ability to work independently and accurately verifying daily revenue transactions against the bank statement. Primary duties consist of reconciling and posting transactions from various sources, scanning checks to be posted in the bank account and customer refund approvals.

This position will need to remain current on all State policies and procedures and will be crossed trained to perform all responsibilities of the Accounts Receivable Unit. This position will have contact with multiple agencies, employees, and customers. Work experience with accounts receivables, VISION (the State's Oracle-based Accounting System) and strong Excel skills are preferred, but are willing to train the right candidate.

This position is required to be in the office two days a week, to fulfill hands-on tasks. The office is located at the DMV at 120 State St. in Montpelier.

Although the full salary range for this position is provided, new hires are typically made at the salary range minimum.
