The Montpelier Performing Arts Hub is a nonprofit performing arts organization serving Central Vermont. We are seeking a dependable, highly organized Administrative Assistant to provide 10hrs/week of in-person administrative support in coordination with Hub leadership. This part‑time role is essential to daily operations and is well-suited for someone who enjoys independent work in a small, arts-focused nonprofit environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing rental inquiries, preparing building quotes, and processing rental contracts
- Coordinating rental‑related staffing needs with the Business Manager
- Communicating setup, technical, and facility needs to the Facilities Manager
- Adding events to online community calendars and assisting with postering and local visibility
- Providing grant support through drafting, proofreading, research, and reporting assistance under the direction of leadership
- Responding to general email inquiries and directing questions to appropriate staff
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of experience in office management or administrative work
- Strong organizational, communication, and time‑management skills
- Proficiency with Google Workspace, Canva, Adobe Acrobat, and project management software
- Ability to work independently in a clearly defined administrative support role
- Nonprofit or arts administration experience preferred but not required
Work Environment:
- In‑person position at the Montpelier Performing Arts Hub
- Part‑time schedule (approximately 10 hours per week); preferred weekday hours between 9:00am–3:00pm
- Collaborative, mission‑driven, and arts‑centered workplace
