PositionNSM is currently seeking an Intensive Needs & Autism Transition Director that is responsible for creating and carrying out transition plans, knowledge of the IEP process and services, and knowledge of PBGRs. This position has under 10 students as the caseload management. The Intensive Needs & Autism Transition Director is responsible for ensuring high quality and effective general and special education that is consistent with all federal and state requirements.
QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Special Education, Rehabilitation Counseling, Human Services, or a related field required. Candidates must hold a Special Education licensure and relevant experience of a minimum of five years is required.
- Experience with supervision of staff, including licensed peers.
- Maintain an effective, creative and success-oriented learning environment that meets the educational needs of students.
- Comply with all policies and procedures with the NSM handbook, Student and Family handbook, and state/federal requirements.
- Must have excellent written, verbal, and time management skills.
- Must have the ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with school and outside team members, and parents/guardians.
- Valid driver’s license, current vehicle inspection and car insurance is required.
This is a full-time position, with an annual salary starting at $65,000 - $75,000, including total compensation*, based on qualifications and experience. School staff work 222 days that includes 12 paid holidays and 13 paid days off. We offer health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, life insurance, paid time off, a 401k retirement plan with employer match and membership of Co-Op after 2 years of employment.
