Job DescriptionWashington Central Unified Union School District is looking for an experienced educator with strong collaborative skills to work closely with other educators, students and families to provide support to the U-32 Zenith Program.
The Zenith Program is a small group program designed to embed functional skills within small group instruction. Students and teachers in the Zenith Program work collaboratively to develop the skills needed to access the general education program more routinely. Mental health and wellness support is embedded within the program. The vision for Zenith is that students and teachers create a supportive community to enhance the success of all learners.
Students in the Zenith Program engage in learning through community experiences and integrated projects that are designed to help students meet proficiencies in content area and transferable skills.
The ideal candidate would have a background in working with students in creative ways that support student learning and engagement while working collaboratively to create an environment that invites respect for all persons, maintains a sense of fairness, and will practice a commitment to belonging, equity, and inclusion. Candidates must be certified (or eligible for certification) in Special Education.
Candidates who are a good fit for this position will be:

- Knowledgeable in Special Education services, including literacy, math and social skills
- Able to interpret assessment information and provide direct instruction and case management
- Knowledgeable of Vermont Special Education Rules and Regulations
- Skilled in proficiency-based instruction and assessment
- Licensed or eligible for licensure by the State of VT with Special Education endorsement
Position Type: Full-time
Salary: $54,224 to $89,365 Per Year
Job Requirements- Bachelors Degree or higher
- At least 2 years of relevant experience preferred
- Must hold a Vermont Educators License
