NSM is currently seeking a Special Education Teacher/SLP with Case Management Focus that is responsible for ensuring high quality and effective instruction for students that correlate with the appropriate Vermont proficiencies. Based on the core subjects, they develop, plan, and implement curriculum, lesson plans, and educational programs for student audiences within and outside their areas of expertise.

Must be a licensed Special Educator or Educational Speech-Language Pathologist in the State of Vermont, or actively pursuing licensure. Candidates should be qualified by both training and experience in instructional practices. Preferred candidates have experience supporting students with developmental disabilities.

• Must have working knowledge of the evaluation process, IEP process, write student goals, special education assessments and paperwork that is required for documentation purposes.
• Must have knowledge of and preferably experience in working with students who receive Special Education services.
• Responsible for managing a small caseload of students
• Create engaging learning opportunities that are consistent with students’ goals, are aligned with the program’s mission and vision, and the Vermont proficiencies.
• Experience with staff supervision.
• Comply with all policies and procedures with the NSM handbook, Student and Family handbook, and state/federal requirements.
• Must have excellent written, verbal, and time management skills.
• Must have the ability to develop and maintain collaborative positive relationships with all team members.
• Valid driver’s license, current vehicle inspection and car insurance is required.

We are seeking a qualified candidate for a full-time, 222-day position, including 12 paid holidays and 13 paid personal days off as part of the annual school calendar.

This position offers a pay plus benefits package totalling between $63,780 to $95,412 for the  school year, based on qualifications and experience.

• Salary Range: $50,000 - $80,000
