Responsibilities
- Providing support to taxpayers through both phone, emails and in person.
- Reviewing returns for accuracy and correcting mistakes or requesting information.
- Working collaboratively with other staff to ensure deadlines are met.
- Bachelor's degree or higher and one (1) or more years of work in accounting, auditing, tax preparation, tax processing, financial operations/administration, analytics, or related field OR High School diploma or equivalent or higher and at least four (4) years of experience in accounting, auditing, tax preparation, tax processing, financial operations/administration, analytics, or related field OR One (1) year or more as a Tax Analyst II or Tax Examiner III.
- Extension tax knowledge.
- Experience in business or fiscal duties.
- Knowledge of local government.
- A desire to continue to learn and grow.
- Candidates must agree to be fingerprinted and pass a background check to be eligible for this position.
