Responsibilities
- Providing support to taxpayers through phone, emails and in person.
- Reviewing returns for accuracy and correcting mistakes or requesting information.
- Working collaboratively with other staff to ensure deadlines are met.
- Associate degree or higher AND at least one (1) year or more of experience in accounting, auditing, or tax processing related duties.
- High school diploma or equivalent or higher AND at least three (3) years of experience in accounting, auditing, tax preparation, tax processing, financial operations/administration, analytics, or related field.
- One (1) year or more as a Tax Analyst I or Tax Examiner II.
- Extension tax knowledge.
- Experience in business or fiscal duties.
- Knowledge of local government.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate challenging topics to individuals with varied backgrounds.
- A desire to continue to learn and grow.
