The Agency of Education seeks a Financial Director I to lead financial management activities including budget development, financial reporting, internal controls, and federal grant administration. This leadership position oversees accounting operations and staff, manages fiscal office processes, prepares complex financial statements and federal reports, and serves as a senior fiscal liaison with federal agencies and state departments.
Key qualifications:- Master's degree in accounting, business, or public administration with 1+ years of professional fiscal experience, OR Bachelor's degree with 20+ accounting credit hours and 2+ years of fiscal experien
- Experience managing major fiscal programs or operations
- Professional-level experience in accounting, budgeting, fiscal auditing, fiscal analysis, or federal program fiscal administration
- Experience managing programs, funding sources, or staff
- Preferred:
Experience managing large fiscal operations - Preferred:
Experience with VISION system (Vermont's People Soft financial management system)
