Our client, a growing organization with operations in British Columbia, is seeking a Safety Associate to support a safe, compliant, and engaged workplace.

The role offers an excellent opportunity for a safety professional who enjoys partnering with employees and leadership teams to promote best practices, support training initiatives, and contribute to a positive safety culture.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting day‑to‑day health and safety activities while helping drive continuous improvement across the organization.

Responsibilities
  • Support the execution and continuous improvement of workplace health and safety initiatives.
  • Assist with employee training, onboarding, and safety awareness programs.
  • Participate in workplace inspections and help identify opportunities to reduce risk.
  • Support incident reporting, documentation, and follow‑up activities.
  • Help maintain safety records, certifications, and compliance‑related documentation.
  • Collaborate with leaders and employees to encourage safe work practices and proactive hazard identification.
  • Assist with policy reviews, program updates, and safety communications.
  • Monitor safety metrics and contribute to reporting and trend analysis.
  • Provide administrative and operational support to the health and safety function as required.
  • Promote a culture where safety is integrated into everyday decision‑making.
Qualifications
  • Post‑secondary education in Occupational Health & Safety, Human Resources, Environmental Health & Safety, or a related discipline.
  • Previous experience supporting health and safety programs in an industrial, manufacturing, logistics, construction, or operational environment is considered an asset.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable working with Microsoft Office and digital record‑keeping systems.
  • Ability to build relationships across all levels of an organization.
  • A proactive, solution‑oriented mindset and a genuine passion for workplace safety.
