Senior Access to Information and Privacy Analyst; Ottawa

Position: Senior Access to Information and Privacy Analyst (Ottawa)
Job Overview  We are seeking a highly skilled independent contractor with a business number and HST number for a Senior Privacy Analyst to begin a 2 year contract (hybrid - 2 days in office per week) immediately. The candidate must have 10 years of experience administering and interpreting the Access to Information and/or Privacy Act, Access to Information and/or Privacy regulations.

This role involves processing large and complex files, overseeing privacy compliance, managing data privacy projects, and analyzing sensitive data to ensure adherence to regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will possess robust analytical skills, expertise in data management tools, and experience with project management methodologies.

Qualifications   Minimum 10 years of experience within the last 15 years administering and interpreting the Access to Information and/or Privacy Act, Access to Information and/or Privacy regulations and TBS Policies and Directives.
Minimum 10 years of experience processing complex and voluminous requests under the Access to Information and/or Privacy Act.
Experience liaising with the Office of the Information Commissioner in the resolution of formal complaints, including orders from the Information Commissioner.
Valid Business/HST Number registered in Canada.
Compensation & Working Hours  Pay: $50.00-$60.00 per hour.
Expected hours: 37.5 per week.
Work Location  Hybrid remote in Ottawa, ON.
