CGI Montréal is looking for a Project Control Officer (PCO) who is detail-oriented, organized, and driven by operational excellence and project success. In this role, you will support Project Managers in planning, controlling, and monitoring schedules, budgets, resources, and deliverables, while contributing to reporting activities and the continuous improvement of project management processes. Your future duties and responsibilities:
• Participate in the development, management, and consolidation of project plans to ensure optimal use of financial and material resources.
• Assist Project Managers with various project management activities, including the use of project management standards, tools, and templates.
• Contribute to project monitoring related to schedules, effort, budgets, and deliverables, and participate in the preparation of progress reports.
• Actively participate in project status meetings and monthly reviews with various stakeholders.
• Prepare project status updates, meeting minutes, and follow up on action items with responsible parties.
• Participate in project variance analysis and contribute to identifying solutions or corrective actions.
• Support the implementation of management tools and processes, maintain project management documentation and registers, and assist in the production of project financial reports.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• University degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Strong interest in project management and project controls
• Basic knowledge of project management concepts and Agile methodologies
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment, with strong initiative, attention to detail, and commitment to meeting deadlines
• Strong analytical skills, flexibility, and adaptability
• Any project management training or certification (e.g., CAPM, PMP in progress) will be considered an asset
• Excellent communication skills in French (spoken, written)
CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is 45 $ et 85 $. This role is an existing vacancy.
