Become an integral part of CBC Montreal as a Video Journalist in a full-time on-site position. Bring local stories to life through your video production skills and journalistic expertise.
In this role, you'll showcase your talent in a deadline-driven atmosphere. You will pitch stories, shoot and edit video, and engage with communities across Montreal, ensuring their voices are heard. This position calls for confidence in live reporting and a love for innovative storytelling.
Key Responsibilities:
• Keep current with local and global news events
• Establish communications with various news sources
• Present the latest stories with effective visuals
• Edit and prepare reports for on-air and online
• Operate video equipment to ensure broadcast quality
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• At least three years in a journalism-related role
• Fluency in English and French required
• Effective communication and interview skills
• Familiarity with CBC video and editing standards
