Hello, I'm Bianka, Senior Team Leader at Fed Finance, a recruitment firm specializing in accounting, finance, and payroll positions. I handle both temporary and permanent recruitment in the Greater Montreal area.
Reporting to the Senior Director of Corporate Accounting, the Accounting Technician plays a key role in supporting the finance department's daily operations and monthly reporting cycles. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing a variety of financial transactions, ensuring timely reconciliations, and preparing standard or ad hoc reporting.

* Participate in month-end activities, including preparing accounting entries.

* Reconcile all intercompany operational customer and supplier accounts.

* Reconcile the accounts receivable subsidiary ledger with the general ledger.

* Perform bank reconciliations.

* Prepare intercompany invoices.

* Reconcile credit card statements (Master Card, Amex) and prepare the corresponding accounting entries.

* Process cash receipts.

* Monitor daily cash balances.

* Assist the treasurer in preparing cash flow forecasts.

* Prepare bank deposits (checks).

* Prepare the daily deposit list.

* Process certain payments (corporate tax, sales tax, etc.) on banking or government platforms and record them in the accounting system.

* Prepare and file monthly sales tax remittance returns for all Canadian entities.

* Provide support during government sales tax audits.

* Configure the client in Finance & Organization.

* Prepare Statistics Canada and other government surveys.

* Perform ad-hoc tasks as needed to support the company's finance team.
Desired Profile
- 3 to 5 years of similar experience
- Degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
- Bilingual (English and French)
- Ability to manage a high volume of applications
