Responsibilities   Finance information:
Ensure overall quality, accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial information.

Collaboration:

Build effective, collaborative relationships with program staff and management to provide professional assistance with budgeting, financial reporting and analysis, and other relevant finance issues.
Financial systems:
Maintain computerized financial systems including general ledgers and reports, support monthly forecast/variance reporting for programs, collect statistical and financial data, and prepare journal entries for monthly, quarterly, and year-end reporting.
Planning and controls:
Collect, analyze, and report information to assist in the annual program of work; participate in process design and maintenance of internal controls; document financial procedures and processes.
Reporting and compliance:
Perform financial reporting and analysis to support internal and external reporting requirements, including funder reporting; investigate variances and identify remedial actions.
Automation and analytics:
Leverage AI-enabled tools to enhance reporting and automate checks; support process optimization through AI-driven workflows to improve efficiency and data quality.
Education and experience you will need   Bachelor’s degree in accounting, commerce, finance, business administration or related field; or equivalent education and/or work experience.
Working knowledge of management accounting practices, GAAP, and financial reporting requirements; understanding of internal controls and financial work processes.
Minimum five (5) years progressive experience in finance and accounting, preferably in a healthcare or not-for-profit organization.
Experience using AI or automation tools to improve efficiency, data quality and reporting.
Advanced proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Quick Books, Dynamics GP).

Experience with or exposure to finance systems implementation is an asset.

Experience with payroll is an asset to support compensation budgeting.
Advanced computer software skills in Microsoft Office and virtual environments.
