Senior Analyst, Loan Accounting Join Fairstone Bank’s Financial Controller’s team to support our broader business strategy by providing strategic analysis, advisory, financial reporting, and corporate governance for loan accounting.
Responsibilities Analyze financial results and prepare variance analysis for IFRS financial statements notes related to loan accounting.
Lead the implementation and adherence to IFRS reporting requirements for loan and insurance accounting, including researching and providing guidance to the business.
Assist with loan loss reserves and other loan‐related matters for quarterly management presentations.
Collaborate with the Investor Reporting team supporting securitization of consumer finance receivables.
Act as audit liaison for loan and insurance accounting matters, coordinating with external and internal auditors.
Prepare relevant disclosures in quarterly and annual financial statements.
Troubleshoot issues and serve as subject‑matter expert when working with Shared Services, Risk, FP&A, Treasury, and Tax.
Develop, implement, and enhance internal controls, ensuring adherence to corporate policies and directives.
Manage or participate in ad hoc projects such as product processor enhancements and process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
Professional accounting designation preferred.
3 to 5 years of progressive relevant experience in product accounting, including work with external and internal auditors.
Experience at a large financial institution or multinational corporation a plus.
Strong financial analysis skills and attention to detail.
Proficient in MS Office, especially advanced Excel.
Knowledge of IFRS technical accounting and internal control principles.
Demonstrated leadership ability and influence to gain support for objectives.
Self‑motivated, adaptable to change, and capable of managing multiple tasks and prioritizing projects to completion.
